Samsung Galaxy XCover7 Pro und Tab Active5 Pro: Neue Outdoor-Geräte für den professionellen Einsatz

Samsung erweitert sein Portfolio an robusten Geräten für den professionellen Einsatz. Mit dem Galaxy XCover7 Pro und dem Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro stellt der südkoreanische Hersteller zwei neue Modelle vor, die speziell für „holprige“ Arbeitsumgebungen konzipiert wurden.
Beide Geräte verfügen über eine IP68-Zertifizierung gegen Wasser und Staub sowie eine MIL-STD-810H-Zertifizierung, die Schutz vor Stürzen, extremen Temperaturen und Vibrationen gewährleisten soll. Das Display des Tab Active5 Pro ist mit Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ geschützt und bietet eine Helligkeit von bis zu 600 Nits, was eine Verbesserung gegenüber dem Vorgängermodell mit 480 Nits darstellt.
Unter der Haube arbeitet in beiden Geräten der Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, ein 4nm Octa-Core-Chip. Der XCover7 Pro ist mit einem 4.350-mAh-Akku ausgestattet, während das Tab Active5 Pro einen 10.100-mAh-Akku besitzt. Das Tablet unterstützt einen Dual-Hot-Swap-Akkubetrieb, bei dem die Akkus im laufenden Betrieb gewechselt werden können.
Die Geräte sind mit 5G-Konnektivität, WiFi 6E und Network Slicing ausgestattet. Das Tab Active5 Pro bietet zusätzlich Dual-SIM-Unterstützung und frontales NFC für kontaktlose Zahlungen. Der mitgelieferte S Pen funktioniert auch bei Nässe und beide Geräte lassen sich mit Handschuhen bedienen.
Für die Produktivität sollen Features wie Samsung DeX für den Desktop-Modus, programmierbare Tasten und KI-gestützte Funktionen wie Circle to Search with Google. Die neuen Outdoor-Geräte sollen ab April 2025 verfügbar sein. Samsung zielt damit auf Branchen wie Einzelhandel, Behörden, Logistik, Gesundheitswesen und Produktion ab. Marktanalysen prognostizieren bis 2028 ein Wachstum auf 4,46 Millionen Einheiten bei robusten Smartphones und 1,89 Millionen Einheiten bei robusten Tablets.

Da müssen mehr als Samsung mitmischen! Die Spatzenhirne brechen die Entwicklung von Outdoor Geräten doch gezielt ab! Mit Lizensierung usw.
Schade, dass Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro nicht wie das Galaxy Tab Active5 (ohne Pro) ein 8″-Display hat.
Die gleichen Specs mit 8″ wäre sofort gekauft.
Pffft, das läuft doch bestimmt auch nicht ohne Akku und nur dann mit Rammount? Affig sowas, Samsung soll es einfach lassen. Leider interessieren sich die anderen Hersteller nicht für das Outdoor-Genre, aber 10″ is nicht mehr Outdoor. Wie soll das ins Flugzeug passen? Andere nutzen das 8″ auf dem Bike oder im Auto.
