Neben dem Verifizierungshäkchen, das dem Namen eines Business-Accounts angehängt wird, wird man auch im Chat selbst darüber informiert, das man sich mit einem verifizierten Business-Account unterhält. WhatsApp teilt außerdem mit, dass man Business-Accounts auch blockieren kann.
Man wird nicht allzu schnell mit Business-Accounts in Berührung kommen, in den FAQ heißt es, dass die verifizierten Accounts nur einer sehr kleinen Anzahl von Teilnehmern an einem Pilotprogramm zur Verfügung stehen. Je nachdem wie erfolgreich das Pilotprogramm ist, wird die Funktion dann wohl aber auch eher früher als später großflächiger verfügbar sein. Erfahrung damit hat Facebook ja bereits.
Laut WABetaInfo stehen Unternehmen folgende Möglichkeiten zur Verfügung:
• When you contact a business account that isn’t not available, you may receive an away message.
• Business can also manage automatic messages!
• If you’d like to stop a business from contacting you, you can block them.
• WhatsApp business verification is currently limited to a small number of businesses participating in a pilot program. Try contacting them to send a request (if applicable now) support@whatsapp.com
• When the business status changes (so a business becomes verified by WhatsApp), you will be notified in the chat through yellow messages (like a security code of a contact changes).
• A verified business can also become unverified: also in this case, you will be notified in the chat.
• You cannot manually delete or disable these notifications in the chat (the only way for deleting them is to clear the chat).
