SoundCloud Go: Integration in Sonos

Es ist noch nicht allzu lange her, da rief der Streaming-Anbieter SoundCloud ein Premium-Programm aus. Noch nicht in Deutschland zu haben, soll SoundCloud Go einen echten Mehrwert bieten. Der Dienst kostet derzeit in den USA 9,99 Dollar, in Frankreich und Irland 12,99 Euro im Monat. Hier hat man Zugriff auf rund 125 Millionen Songs, neben den freien gibt es Titel von Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Merlin und der Warner Music Group. Das Angebot bringt auch die Berechtigung für den Offline-Zugriff mit. Obwohl ich einst großer Fan von SoundCloud aufgrund unwahrscheinlich vieler Mixe und Mashups war (war: Löschaktionen gegen Künstler, Geoblocking…), so glaube ich nicht, dass das Angebot besonders gut am Markt angenommen wird.

Liegt einfach daran, dass der Mainstream-Hörer genug Alternativen hat – beispielsweise Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer und Google Musik. Diese teilweise sogar um einiges günstiger, wenn man sich für einen Familienplan entscheidet.

Doch darum soll es ja nicht gehen, sondern um die Integration von SoundCloud Go in Sonos. Ist hier in Deutschland noch nicht wirklich relevant, da das SoundCloud Go-Angebot hier noch aussteht. Wenn es dann aber soweit ist, dann kann dieses normal über die bestehende Sonos-Integration von SoundCloud genutzt werden. Nutzer müssen also keinen neuen Account in ihrem System einrichten oder andere Verrenkungen anstellen.
