
Nvidia versorgt seine Shield-Android-TV-Box seit einer gefühlten Ewigkeit mit Updates. Da gibt es nicht nur Sicherheitsupdates, sondern immer wieder mal ich Feature-Updates, welche die Box für viele zur bevorzugten Streaming-Lösung macht. Das Shield Experience Update 8.0.1 ist aber eher als Bugfix-Update zu betrachten, neue Funktionen kommen damit nicht. Dafür dürfte das Update für alle interessant sein, die nach dem Update auf Version 8.0 Probleme mit dem Abspielen von 4K-Inhalten hatten. Laut offizieller Aussage ist das Update ein großer Schritt in Richtung Fix, die meisten Apps sollten in naher Zukunft nach einem Server-seitigen Update auch wieder in 4K streamen.

Das Update steht ab sofort zur Verfügung, im Ankündigung-Post soll dann auch aktualisiert werden, welche Apps bereits wieder 4K streamen können.
