Dropbox hat schon viel ausprobiert. Vom Speicheranbieter ist man nicht nur Richtung Business gegangen, man hatte auch einmal eine Foto-Lösung am Start. Wurde aufgrund des Erfolges wohl eingestellt. Vor einiger Zeit startete man Dropbox Paper in einer geschlossenen Beta. Quasi Google Docs im Dropbox-Style, inklusive Kollaboration und Benachrichtigungen. Hatte mal Zugang und mir das Ganze angeschaut – kein Mehrwert für mich. Aber ich bin ja kein Maßstab, sodass ihr euch selber überzeugen müsst – und das ab sofort könnt. Dropbox hat Paper nun in die öffentliche Beta geschubst und zudem Apps für Android und iOS veröffentlicht. Während ihr die Paper-Version bereits im Web nutzen könnt, so müsst ihr euch noch mit den Apps gedulden, Dropbox vermeldet: „Note: The Paper mobile apps are coming soon for users in the EU.“

Brainstorming ideas. Tackle big ideas, together in the same doc, at the same time—and use more than just words by embedding videos, images, and more.
Capturing meeting notes. Connect your Google Calendar, and Paper can create a custom notes doc for your next meeting and automatically share it with attendees.
Creating to-do’s. Start a checklist with just a few keystrokes, and assign tasks to others by simply adding “@” and a team member’s name.
