Gibt es eine Möglichkeit auch SRWare Iron (ein “sicherer” Fork (?) von Google Chrome) portable zu bekommen?

For anyone who wishes to fix the “cannot scroll up using certain mouse pads” issue quickly, I have released a patcher. You can download it here:
http://users.ecs.soton.ac.uk/pjt2v07/chrome/

Just run chrome_patch.exe. It will patch chrome.dll to fix the issue.

This should work for the portable version also (perhaps it could be integrated? – its only a 1 byte change) but you will need to move the patcher to the same directory as chrome.dll.

I updated my Portable Chrome by copying over the files from the newest Chrome installation into the Portable Chrome structure and it worked. But thanks for this update, because I’m not sure if something minor may not work completely.

Bei mir haut was nicht hin:
Wenn ich mein “altes” Profil in die neuen Ordner hinein kopiere, meckert Chrome mich an, dass das Profil nicht funktioniert.

Ich bleibe erst mal beim alten, das gut läuft.

Meine Ordnerstruktur sieht etwas anders aus, keine Ahnung wieso. Ich hab nur deine Version entpackt und gestartet. Aber evtl. erklärt sich dadurch auch mein Lesezeichen-Problem.

Fast. Warum da 2 Profilordner sind, kann ich dir nicht sagen, ich hab einfach deine Version entpackt und gestartet. Aber evtl. ist die Ursache für dieses Verhalten ja auch der Grund für mein Lesezeichen Problem?

Die portable Version spielt meine Favoriten problemlos ein. Der aktuelle Loader startet Chrome aus dem Chrome-Ordner – und fragt das Profil extern ab – man hat also im Root den Chrome- und den Profilordner – wie auch bei Portable Firefox und Portable Thunderbird und Co.
